Start with an official registry
The New York State funeral-firm registry is our base source for legal business names and addresses. A registry record shows that a firm was listed by the state. It does not confirm current hours, service schedules, or flower-delivery instructions.
Group names by physical destination
One building can have several legal entities, former names, or related firms. We group records by normalized street address so that we do not create several pages for the same delivery entrance.
Look for direct corroboration
We compare the registry record with the funeral home’s official website or a recognized professional directory. We check the displayed name, street address, phone number, and website. A match supports an individual destination page.
Separate directory records from verified pages
Area directories can include registry-sourced locations that still need review. These records are clearly labeled and do not link to an individual delivery page. This helps shoppers see the difference between a source record and a destination that we have directly corroborated.
Confirm live delivery details at checkout
Directory research does not replace a live delivery check. Product availability, florist coverage, weather, service time, and destination rules can change. Bloom Lane checks the delivery ZIP code and date before an order can continue.
Corrections are welcome
A funeral home can change its name, website, phone number, or address. Send a correction with a supporting official source to hello@fairwayflorist.com. We review the evidence before changing a page.
